Many people across Brighton, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Redcliffe and the wider North Brisbane area live with recurring headaches or migraines and assume they just have to “put up with it”. Tension headaches, cervicogenic headaches (those that start in the neck) and some migraine patterns are frequently linked to the upper neck, posture, desk work, stress and sleep position.
At Body & Soul Chiropractic we regularly see patients who have tried everything else and are looking for a gentle, non-medication approach. Our focus is on understanding what is driving your headaches and creating a clear plan.
What often contributes to headaches
- Restricted movement in the upper cervical spine
- Forward head posture from phones and screens (“tech neck”)
- Muscle tension in the neck, shoulders and base of the skull
- Jaw tension or poor sleep support
- Stress and prolonged sitting (very common among office workers and drivers in our area)
How we approach headaches at Body & Soul
Your first visit includes a thorough history, postural screening, range-of-motion and neurological checks. We explain findings in plain language. Care may include gentle diversified or low-force techniques (Activator, SOT), soft-tissue work, advice on pillow and desk setup, and simple home movements. Where appropriate we also discuss the role of the nervous system and how improving spinal function can support overall comfort.
We use the same careful, personalised approach for people of all ages — from busy professionals to parents and older adults wanting to stay active.
When to book an assessment
